Trip to Edinburgh Court of Session and Edinburgh Mooting Society’s Advocacy Skills workshop with Paul Reid, Ampersand Stable

This is a great opportunity to visit the Court of Session and observe a hearing. If you are unsure what being an advocate (Scottish word for barrister!) is like or just fancy a trip to a beautiful building steeped in tradition then this trip is for you. We will be attending with Edinburgh Mooting Society who would be delighted to answer any questions you have on what studying Law is like and the pros/cons of studying Scots Law instead of English Law.

In the evening we will be attending an Advocacy Skills workshop with Paul Reid, Ampersand Stable. Paul was called to the Bar in 2011 and graduated from Edinburgh University in 2004. Paul converted from being a solicitor to an advocate and will discuss his experiences, career and compare the two professions.

We will be getting a taxi to Leuchars train station from the Gateway building at 13:05 sharp and returning around 22:00. This is a one-off event and please bring money to buy your train ticket.

To book your place for both the Court visit and workshop or to attend just one, please email please email Charlotte at ctb@st-andrews.ac.uk BEFORE Sunday 23:00. We will be leaving the Gateway building at 13:05 sharp.
