Dinner with Simon Gleeson, Partner Clifford Chance LLP

This is a unique opportunity to meet and chat with Simon Gleeson a Partner at Clifford Chance LLP. Simon is an alumni of St Andrews, graduating in 1986 in Mediaeval History.

He is a world leader in his field and specialises in financial markets law and regulation, clearing, settlement, derivatives and sovereign debt. He has published many books and articles and regularly appears on Bloomberg (videos and articles here: http://topics.bloomberg.com/simon-gleeson/ )

Simon was seconded to the UK Financial Services Authority to assist with the development of the market abuse regime, and advised the World Economic Forum on its 2009 Report on The New Global Financial Architecture. His experience includes advising governments, regulators and public bodies as well as banks, investment firms, fund managers and other financial institutions on a wide range of regulatory issues.

Before his career as a solicitor Simon worked as a Stockbroker for Williams de Broë before converting and qualifying as a barrister. Simon then converted to be a solicitor and worked at Allen & Overy before joining Clifford Chance as a partner 2007.

Simon is delighted to discuss all aspects of his career and compare professions and firms. He will give application and interview advice as well as chat about how he found the conversion course and various legal fields and industry sectors.
