Location: Parliament Hall, St Andrews

Donald R Findlay QC, Mackinnon Advocates, is widely recognised throughout the UK as Scotland's leading criminal defender. Donald has acted as defence counsel in some of the most notorious cases in modern Scottish history - Angelika Kluk, Jodi Jones and Kriss Donald, to name but three.

In more than 35 years of practice he has unrivalled experience in the criminal courts and acquired an almost unique level of knowledge and understanding of Forensic Medicine and Science - he is consulted on these matters by solicitors from all over the UK.

Donald Findlay has twice been the Rector of the University of St Andrews and we are delighted he will be leading an advocacy workshop with us.

The workshop will focus on the process of breaking down a legal problem, deciding upon a strategy and how best to present that facts of the case, examining witnesses and engaging jury and judge.

The workshop will be followed by a Q&A and dinner.
