We are delighted to announce a special event with Donald Findlay QC, renowned as Scotland's top QC. He is widely recognised throughout the UK for his unrivalled experience in the criminal courts.
The evening will commence with drinks in the Austin Room of the Rusacks Hotel before a Black-tie two course dinner. Donald will very kindly provide an after-dinner speech, followed by a Q&A about his time in law, politics and their intersection.
In more than 35 years of practice he has acquired an almost unique level of knowledge and understanding of Forensic Medicine and Science as it applies to law - he is consulted on these matters by solicitors from all over the UK.
Donald studied Law at Dundee and Glasgow and practises in a range of areas: Criminal Trial, Human Rights, Medical Negligence, Sports, Terrorism and Extradition. He has been vice chairman of Rangers Football Club, twice the Rector of the University of St Andrews and is honorary vice-president of the University of St Andrews Conservative and Unionist Association. He is well known for a distinctive style of dress and manner, particularly the smoking of a pipe, as well as his support for Unionism in Scotland and the Scottish Conservatives.
Tickets are £25.50 and include a glass of prosecco on arrival, a two course meal (main and desert) and one glass of wine. Places are limited and will be allocated first come first served.
