Extraordinary General Meeting

We are electing the position of Sub-Honours Representative. The Sub-Honours Representative shall be responsible for liaising with those students in first and second year and communicating to the Society how we can better serve the needs of the younger students in looking ahead to a legal career. Those interested in running should prepare a speech of no more than 3 minutes. Only paid members are eligible to vote or run in this EGM.

The University of St. Andrews Law Society is proud to announce that we will be hosting an interactive webinar with Chicago Law School’s Office of Admissions. Chicago is currently ranked 4th in the US. The live webinar and Q&A session will be a chance to discuss any questions you may have with Chicago's Assistant Director Of Admissions. This is a unique opportunity for you to obtain information about the application process and the Law School directly from the source.

Women in Law: Path to Partnership and QC

Alison Levitt (QC at 2 Hare Court), Christine Young (Partner at Herbert Smith Freehills LLP), Julia Wilson (Partner at Baker McKenzie LLP) and Sally Penni (Joint Vice Chair of the Association of Women’s Barristers and Founder of Women in the Law UK) will be joining us to speak about their experiences working in and leading the legal profession and the challenges and obstacles faced by women in this industry. This topic is current and universal, and those from all fields are welcome.

The panel discussion will be followed by an open Q&A session and networking drinks.
